This scene is a continuation of my God of Lines scene, where I've added a frost and rune glow effect to the axe head. This was also my entry to the Technically Speaking Discord challenge with the theme "Frost", which I had suggested.

The shaders are fairly simple, a transparent frost effect with screen space refraction, Fresnel and clipping in over time. The rune's on the axe head are a texture and a gradient is used for the transition from inert to glowing.


The axe and scene are of course inspired by Santa Monica Studio's God of War.
